Carmen Goertzen

Carmen Goertzen was born in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1963. He is the hereditary leader of Dadnas (Langara Island), succeeding Robert Davidson`s father, Claude Davidson.
Carmen is a self-taught artist, making his own tools when he was only nine years old. He has been carving professionally in silver and gold since 1984. He has recently taken up the carving of totem poles.
Carmen's work has been strongly influenced by his first cousins, Reg and Robert Davidson.
